Dr. Cary Burnley is a board-certified chiropractor with over 20 years of experience helping patients move better, feel better, and perform at their best. After spending 17 years at Garrett Chiropractic Clinic, he opened Burnley Spine & Sport Chiropractic in downtown Florence in December 2022, offering modern, results-driven care rooted in clinical expertise.
A 2005 graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic, Dr. Burnley holds advanced certifications in Active Release Techniques (ART), dry needling, and nutraceutical injections. He currently serves as President of the Alabama State Chiropractic Association and has been the team chiropractor for University of North Alabama student-athletes for over 15 years.
Dr. Burnley takes an evidence-based, whole-person approach to care—integrating spinal and extremity adjustments, soft tissue therapies, dry needling, Class IV laser therapy, and shockwave therapy. Every treatment plan is customized to the individual and often includes targeted supplements, functional exercises, and personalized stretching protocols.
While he specializes in treating athletes of all ages and levels, Dr. Burnley also cares for pediatric and prenatal patients, and welcomes anyone with musculoskeletal issues seeking functional, results-oriented care.
Dr. Burnley is married to Anna who is a native of Florence Alabama and has two beautiful daughters, Avery and Ellie.
When he’s not in the clinic, you’ll find Dr. Burnley outdoors—fishing, golfing, or hiking, enjoying the beauty of northern Alabama.
Dr. Gates Killen, DC
Dr. Gates Killen has always called Florence home, and is ready to bring high quality chiropractic care to downtown Florence. He is a graduate of the University of North Alabama earning his Bachelor’s in science before heading to Atlanta Georgia to get his doctorate in chiropractic at Life University.
He wants to provide a safe and effective form of health care to his hometown friends and family. This can be done because of the large array of chiropractic techniques at Dr. Killen’s disposal, State of the art physiotherapy procedures and high quality supplementation.
He currently lives in Muscle Shoals with his wife Rita, he enjoys exercise and spending time with friends. Dr. Killen has been practicing for over two years now, and he can’t wait to help you next.

For fun, we like going out on the boat, riding four wheelers, going to the park and hanging out with friends. I love working for Dr. Burnley and Dr. Killen because of their laid-back personalities. They are so fun to be around. I truly enjoy my job and coworkers.
